7 Habits of Highly Effective People - Habit 7 - Presented by Stephen Covey Himself

From 5:21 mins

Part B – The Physical, mental and Spiritual dimensions

 Physical – we usually think about these elements of renewal – exercise, nutrition and stress management

o So that we are not crippled, paralyzed from being over stressed, overtaxed, worn out, burned down

 Exercise more and more consciousness is happening inside society about the importance of exercise

 Feeling better, looking better

 Can practice vigorous walking, some calisthenics / aerobics

 The principle is balance, fun, moderation, consistency, variety

 Nutrition – most of us know what is right in this area, but the question is do we have the willpower to do it. Do we have commitment. Is it important to us

 Usually we have no problems. When it’s more a matter of vanity / pride than longevity or vitality often times it won’t be important to us or it will be important because of our vanity

 But when you against the point where it will literally affect the quality of your life and the length of your life many people then begin to take it seriously but often not until there is some painful acute manifestation

 Stress – common suggestions are meditation, via feedback, exercise and so forth.

 Covey says, the greatest stress management ID is meaning, purpose, contribution, a life that turns you on, work that turns you on, a cause that turns you on(Study hans sahay work)

 The importance of having meaningful projects and contributions to never retire to leisure, retire to projects that are meaningful that excites you that contribute that add value that make a difference

Tagline for today: Kaizen (Relentless never ending continuous improvement)

Conclusion:-

Hans Selye says, A long, healthy, and happy life is the result of making contributions, of having meaningful projects that are personally exciting and contribute to and bless the lives of others

If you study all of history, psychology and philosophy inevitably you find the same four dimensions constantly mentioned.

Where are we missing it? It is a quadrant 2 activity. It is important and not urgent. As it is not urgent, we take ourselves for granted. If we focus this 1 holy hour a day, it has potential of giving 100x output(EP 2 - Holy Hour - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-3GwazdoIs).

As we want to shine as Hero and Heroine, we need to constantly work on Sharpening the Saw.

Practice makes man perfect.

Let’s all take these Physical dimensions in our hands. உடலே உன்னை ஆராதிக்கிறேன்
